this is an interior project for mr. arindam roy's new flat at whitefield, bangalore. the concept here was to have a design that would tie up all the elements within the space. the initial plan was to just have the wardrobe along with the loft but finally ended up with doing the entire room which included a book shelf, study area, dressing etc. the black band runs along the entire length on two walls with which every thing gets integrated. to add some more interest, we have contd the band over the door also for a small portion. the kitchen was designed to maximize the usable space both under and over the counter with all the appliances fitting into the right place. the puja unit is a very simple design, fixed to the wall in the dining area (the best possible space we could find for it) in line with the kitchen door opening. a black band extends above to have a small brass bell hanging.
