the house sits on a corner plot facing one of the main road of the town. the brief given by the client was to have a design that would require minimum maintenance in the exterior, reason being that theres too much of dust that settles all over 'cos the streets are neither tarred nor paved. the residence consists of 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 family spaces, kitchen, dining, store and a covered car garage. the construction of this 2100 sqft residence started in sept 2003. civil construction ended in sept 2006 where as the interior works finished by march 2008. few reasons that led to the prolonged construction period were non-availability of water, labour, materials during the dry seasons. the residence has been designed keeping in mind the basic principles of vastu and local beliefs in this region.
